Setting Up Your Texting Number

To send text message review requests, you’ll need a dedicated texting number, verified identity, and A2P registration — a one-time process required by phone carriers to prevent spam and make sure your messages actually get delivered. It takes about 10–15 minutes and needs some basic business info, like your EIN, plus a photo ID for verification.


Step 1: Purchase Your Phone Number

  1. Log into your account and go to Settings.
  2. Click Phone System, then the Phone Numbers tab.
  3. Click + Add Number → Add Phone Number.
  4. Select your country, apply any area code filters, and search.
  5. Select a number and click Proceed to Buy.
    You’ll see a price at this step — no need to worry about it, it’s billed to Perfect Patients, not you.

Step 2: Verify Your Identity

If you’re in the US, Canada, Puerto Rico, or Israel, you’ll need to verify your identity before using your number.

  1. Click the Verification Required alert (shown during purchase, or when viewing your number in settings).
  2. Verify using a government-issued photo ID (driver’s license or passport), and follow the webcam/live selfie steps.
  3. Once verified, you won’t need to repeat this for any future numbers on your account.

Step 3: Complete A2P Registration

This step is required to text US recipients, and keeps your messages from being flagged as spam.

  1. Go to Settings → Phone System → Trust Center.
  2. Click Start Registration under A2P Messaging.
  3. Submit your brand details: legal business name, address, and business registration info (like your EIN). You’ll receive a one-time passcode at your business number — enter it back in to verify.
  4. Register your campaign: select a use case (e.g., Lead Generation, Marketing). You’ll need a live website with a privacy policy and a compliant consent checkbox on any form that collects phone numbers.
