How to Create a Facebook Business Page in 5 Easy Steps
A Facebook business Page is a great way to connect with your community, share helpful information, and make it easier for new patients to discover your practice.
Whether you’re just getting started on Facebook or establishing a stronger online presence, creating a business Page is simple!
Follow these five steps to get your practice’s Facebook Page up and running.
Before You Begin: You’ll need a personal Facebook account to create and manage your business Page. Your personal profile and business Page are separate, so patients won’t need to access your personal profile to interact with your practice.
These instructions are for the Facebook mobile app. The location and wording of some options may vary depending on your device and app version.
Step 1: Get Started
- Open the Facebook app and log in.
- Tap Menu (typically in the bottom-right corner on iPhone or top-right on Android).
- Select Pages.
- Tap Create, then Get Started to begin setting up your new Page.
Step 2: Name Your Business Page
Enter your practice’s name as you’d like it to appear on Facebook.
Tip: Use your official practice name, keeping it consistent with your website and other online listings. This helps patients recognize your business and find you more easily.
Tap Next to continue.
Step 3: Choose Your Business Category
Select one or more categories that best describe your practice.
For example, depending on your services, you might choose:
- Chiropractor
- Dentist & Dental Office
- Physical Therapist
- Health & Wellness Website
Choose the most accurate categories available for your business.
When you’re finished, tap Create.
Step 4: Add Your Practice Information
Help patients find and contact your practice by completing your business details.
Include:
- Website: Add your practice’s website URL.
- Phone Number: Enter your main business phone number.
- Email Address: Provide a contact email, if applicable.
- Location: Add your practice’s physical address.
- Business Hours: Include your regular opening and closing hours.
Tip: Make sure your practice name, address, and phone number match the information on your website and other online listings.
Tap Next when you’re finished.
Step 5: Personalize Your Page
Give your Facebook Page a professional, welcoming appearance by adding a profile picture and cover photo.
Profile Picture: Your practice logo is an excellent choice. Choose a clear, recognizable image that looks good even at a smaller size.
Cover Photo: Consider using a high-quality photo of your team, office, or practice environment to give visitors a sense of who you are.
Next, select Edit Action Button to make it easy for visitors to take the next step.
Depending on the options available, you may be able to add a button such as:
- Call Now – Encourage patients to contact your practice.
- Book Now – Direct visitors to your online appointment booking page.
- Learn More – Send visitors to your website.
Choose the option that best supports your practice’s goals.
Congratulations! Your Facebook Business Page Is Ready!
You’ve taken an important step toward building your practice’s online presence!
Before you start sharing content, here are a few additional ways to make the most of your new Page.
1. Invite People to Follow Your Page
Start building your audience by inviting friends, team members, and others who may be interested in following your practice.
2. Give Your Team Access
If other team members will help manage your Facebook Page, you can grant them appropriate Page access without sharing your personal Facebook login credentials.
3. Turn On Notifications
Stay informed about messages, comments, and other activity by enabling Page notifications.
4. Share Your First Post
Introduce your practice to your Facebook community! Consider sharing a friendly welcome message, a team photo, or a little about the services you offer.
